 ITW BGK Finishing Systems uses T3 infrared, referred to as "short-wave", which have been expressly manufactured for ITW BGK. These quartz emitters are designed and constructed for high-performance to maximize your process. Their unique design includes ceramic end-seals that are more durable than traditional metal end-seals.
Short-wave energy provides the most proficient heat transfer - direct, penetrative heating from the emitter to the product. When used in an ITW BGK system, the product is exposed to "full-range" infrared. This is due to our proprietary, interior, cavity design; which provides efficient direct, reflected, and convective energy spanning all wavelengths.

Long Life
· Life is rated at 5000 hours, based on continuous emitter operation at full rated voltage.
· Emitter life exponentially increases when used at less than full voltage (as is typical in an ITW BGK system).
Durability
· Sturdy 0.375" thick diameter quartz sheath construction.
· Durable tungsten filament is internally supported throughout the entire emitter.
· Installations in vibrating equipment have shown no loss in emitter life.
Instant Operation
· Varying the applied voltage to the emitter, the amount of power output can be varied.
· Instantaneous response time.
· Change from 0 to 100% as quickly as you adjust a dimmer switch at home.
